A Fight For My Life Empty
PostSubject: A Fight For My Life   A Fight For My Life Icon_minitimeThu Sep 30, 2010 8:47 am

Saint Dane drifted in and out of conciousness in the bunk Master Frost had given him to sleep in while he trained with the changeling. Something kept bothering him; like there was someone lurking nearby with an immense power, far beyond the demon’s own. Whenever he was asleep, Saint Dane found himself fighting a creature that seemed to never tire, who constantly threw him around like a doll. Whenever he was awake, he would see the same creature, coming out at him through the shadows.

Finally, after hours of trying to find some real sleep this way, he rolled over and got out of the bed, pulled on his clothes, and started to walk out of the room. As he passed the door, he reached down and plucked his sword from where it lay, leaning against the wall.

Frost’s own chambers weren’t far away, and because of this, there was a lot of traffic, mostly security, in the hallways. No one questioned why he was there, probably because of the symbol on his chest and back marking him as one of Frost’s students.

A little while later, Saint Dane stood on a balcony in the cool night air. Freezing, actually. The small city that formed the majority of the capital of the changeling empire stretched out below him. The city was enclosed by a massive gorge, the depths of which were unknown. They probably went clear through the planet, with the only thing holding it together being its gravity.

After shivering a moment, he walked forward… and dove off of the balcony. The rush woke him up instantly, and he leveled off just in time to avoid hitting the ground.

Below him, the city lay asleep, the only thing stirring being the numerous security guards that patrolled the city, looking for signs of rebellion or treachery.

A few minutes later Saint Dane landed on the outskirts of the town, in the slums. The population here was low, but those that did live in the area were the roughest type you could find on the planet.

Saint Dane had come here seeking peace and quite. Up ahead he could see a familiar shape. As he walked closer he recognized it as his ally, Tehran’he. There would be no quiet time for him.

“Hello, Tehran’he. Fine night, isn’t it?” he called, loosening the straps on his weighted training items and letting them drop to the ground.

A faint aura formed around him as he allowed his powerlevel to maximize so that he would be ready for the fight that would doubtlessly come.

---

Nineteen heaved a huge sigh, entering the fray. His gaze was aimed at the ship, the door automatically opening at the sound of his footsteps. Smoke filled the room as he just stepped in, as his scouter started to work.

Nineteen turned his gaze to the back. He sensed the presence of two warriors, but who? The android prepared himself for lift off. As he blasted off of the ground, leaves and rocks were hurled into different directions.

Nineteen was just in the air, as the power signatures became all too familiar; two close friends were at the verge of battling. It was now up to him to get there and interrupt, as he was racing the time. Slowly descending on the edge of a cliff, he saw Saint Dane, war veteran and alliance mate. In front of him was the Changeling Tehran'he, an old friend.

(Well, well. If it isn't the two of them, battling eachother without leaving me a message!), the android thought, as he was urging himself to surprise the pair, but stopped. It seemed wise to him if he came prepared.

He started to drop his weighted equipment and began moving his arms, feeling the stiffness of his muscles dissolve with every stroke. After cracking his knuckles and neck, he moved on to his legs. Then, he left all his equipment in the hills, and took a jump, all the way over to the battlefield.

He planted his feet firmly on the ground, making a landing precisely in the middle of the two warriors. The android was ready for a warm welcome, but it barely looked like any of the two was surprised to see him.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to participate in this event," he exclaimed, taking a step backwards and making eye contact with the two warriors.

---

“Is that all you can do?” she taunted. Glancing up at the darkening sky, she wondered what she was doing so late at night, fighting such a weak person. Grinning to herself, she quickly dodged to the left as the fighter tried to punch her. While he over rotated, she just watched. So far, the changeling hadn’t thrown a single punch. And why bother? He was simply wearing himself down. Sure enough, he fell to the floor, beat.

The fight had lasted less than five minutes. Frowning, she stepped forward, accidentally on purpose stepping on her opponent. “Whoops, silly me,” she giggled. But suddenly, a red flag went up. A power level just barely higher than her own was quickly zoning in on her and her amusement. Sighing, the changeling muttered “Will that foolish Sayain rob me of my free time as well?”

Sighing, she slowly took off all her weighted clothing. Despite the fact she was in a fight, it had been on so she could increase her strength, though all she really did in the end was dodge his terribly slow attacks. He called out a greeting to her, and she gave a terse nod. Less than ten seconds later, Android 19, an old… well, if not friend, more acquaintance, showed up and promised to enter the fray, before backing off.

Noticing all this, and calculating how it would affect her chances of winning she decided she would need to bump up her power, so she quickly powered up, letting the ever darker aura she had flare up around her, while she grew to her second form. Feeling more at peace, she darted forward to Saint Dane, wrapping her tail around him and trying for several quick jabs, while at the same time trying to crush his spine with her tail. “Do you like that?” she said with an eerily pompous and happy tone.

Smiling despite her near hatred of the man she was crushing, she had to admire his courage. His rise in power seemed near immediate, and he hadn’t lost steam yet. It made her suddenly envious. Why wasn’t it her that could increase at such a rate of speed? Why him? He was a filthy SAYAIN! A monkey!

---

What was this changeling thinking, pulling out all the stops from the start? Had she learned nothing, thus far?

“Never give away your true strength so soon. If gives your opponent more time to think of a way around it,” Saint Dane commented dryly as he caught Tehran’he’s tail before it could wrap around his waist, an attack he had expected through familiarity with the changeling.

Just to give his opponent a little ego boost, Saint Dane let her jabs strike him in the chest, leaving slight bruises under his shirt. “Is this the best I can expect of you? Even when you are stronger than me, you cannot best me? Prove to me right here that I am not wasting my time teaching you! That lousy saiyan, Digu, did a terrible job training you to be a fighter! Let me show you true power, that of which only the most skilled fighters could possess!” the demon roared, striking Tehran’he two fleeting blows to the face before backing off a few feet and raising his sword.

“You want to be my αντίζηλος (rival)? You have no hope of defeating me unless you truly unleash yourself! Let your έχθρα (hatred) consume you! Until you do, I will constantly force you to feel the bite of my ξίφος (sword)! You will never forget the name Πέτρος (Saint) Dane until you overcome me in battle!” Saint Dane screamed at Tehran’he’s blank face. Was he getting to her? He damn well hoped so.

Before letting the emotions his words would inspire truly sink in, he dashed forward, aiming to slash Tehran’he across the chest with his sword. The cut wouldn’t be deep, but it would be enough to cause serious pain, the type of which would help him to truly force his apprentice to let go of her control. When that finally happened, he knew they would be unstoppable together, he just had to force her to the point that she has no choice.

Although he appeared to pay no attention to the newly arrived Android 19, Saint Dane was aware of his every twitch. If the android made a move, he’d be ready.

---

Although Nineteen's mysterious attempt to intervene his alliance mates' battle succeeded, it never occured to him that the two only saw the benefit of battling eachother. Dissapointment had settled in.

(If I have to prove myself in front of these two once again, then so be it), thought Nineteen, as he laughed from within and got himself to power up to his basic limits, a flaming white aura bursting forth, his fists clenched and slowly levitating above the ground.

The android took a step forward, took a deep breath in and out, then flew at the Changeling first, with a quick rush. In mid-air, he prepared his first attack, as his fist, filled with cackling ki, was rocketing straight out to Tehran'he. Not looking if it turned out a succes, he received his fist back and gathered energy out of his other hand.

This time, he would charge at Saint Dane. From his position in the sky, he came to an abrupt halt and send a fast, strong beam towards the Saiyan. "Hey Saint, catch this!" He yelled as the Suiken was heading into the Saiyan's direction.

Looking at the two warriors struggling with eachother, he used his Hikou ability to fly back into a safe position, then charged a huge beam. Saint Dane was just on his way to approach the Changeling with a physical combination, as the Android sent a chilly beam, also known as the Ice blast, directly into his direction, to freeze the Saiyan and possibly result in him flinching, thus intercepting his attack.

He sent the frosty attack at the Saiyan and flew back and lower into the air, landing on the rocky ground and watching what the two warriors would do in return. He waited in anxiety, barely knowing his own strength and waiting to see what kind of effect his attacks would have on the warriors.

---

Tehran'he impassively watched as Dane once more went on a raving speech of her possible greatness, which she already knew about, before insulting her drive, which she knew she had. The changeling let him slam her face, wincing, but otherwise unhurt. The attack was obviously to give him time to back off, which he did.

Watching his hand reach for the blade, Tehran'he casually let her own blade deflect the attack, her aura pulsing faintly through the sword. Quickly sheathing it, she glanced to the right to see Android 19 flying towards her, arm outstretched. Running at near the speed of light, her shadow stayed behind to greet the fist of 19 with her face. After he passed through it, the shadow dissipated.

Smirking slightly, the changeling backed off, letting 19 work his magic with Dane. While having a moment of breathing room, she thought. It was a dark night, in a busy alleyway, on cold Frieza. What could she do to assure confusion and fear? Glancing up at the tall buildings, she let flames lick the buildings around them. Within moments, screams were heard all around, as people attempted to evacuate for their own safety. Without stopping, she let her fire go to the ground, melting the ice and creating steam, further adding to the chaotic stew.

Cracking her knuckles, she grinned ferally. Having sparred Dane in the astral realm multiple times, she could pick up his mental link and quickly honed in on the energy source. Holding one of her hands out into the shadowy murk, pointed where she could feel Dane at, she grabbed that wrist with her other and ground her feet in. Feeling the Ki course through her body, she muttered in a whisper she hoped no one could hear, “Bakurikamaha.”

A pure blast of twilight dark energy coursed from her fingertips, looking to all the world like an anti- Kamehameha wave, the dark beam zoomed onward towards its quarry, causing a high-pitched whine to echo across the alleyway, thankfully concealing the changeling’s precise location. Not that it mattered. With both Dane and 19 on her, the general area was all they’d need to hit her.

---

“What is this?” Saint Dane thought deep within the only part of his mind that wasn’t about to freeze solid. “Am I… dead? Did that fucker kill me?” His body had totally shut down, or so he thought. He couldn’t move anything, at all.

Just when he began to think he really was dead, he became furious, and his aura burned harder and more powerful than ever as his power rose with his anger. It was a trait of the saiyan race, even more so than with others, for their emotions to affect their strength in battle. Many a tide had been turned when a saiyan was backed into a corner, and had nothing to lose anymore.

As his powerlevel rose, he realized that he could move his head again, and now his arms, then finally his legs. The saiyan let his anger subside briefly so that he could survey the battle field.

At his feet was a puddle of water, which made told Saint Dane that he had been enclosed in a block of ice, and that was why he couldn’t move, as well as why he had suddenly become so cold.

Now that his body wasn’t numb anymore, either, he could feel the burn where he had been hit by an attack from Android 19 just before he was frozen. “Bastard…” he murmured under his breath, as pangs of pain shot through his leg.

The entire lower portion of his body felt like it was on fire, but Saint Dane forced himself to ignore it. If he showed weakness in front of his student, what hope could he have of creating an image she would want to follow? No, he had to prove to her, as well as himself, that he was the warrior he claimed to be. The warrior he had trained so hard and long to become.

“I told you, Tehran’he! Test the waters before you give away all of your secrets. You had an advantage over me in that I did not know you could perform such an attack!” the saiyan howled over the sound of the changeling’s attack.

As he spoke, Saint Dane raised his hands to his chest, connecting his thumbs and index fingers to form an “O” with his arms held out in front of him. “Kikoh…” he whispered.

The ring began to glow a dark purple, like that of his devil’s aura. Sparks of electricity ran up and down his wrists as the light grew more intense.

Without warning, the sparks and the glow disappeared, and a few seconds later a gigantic “O” shaped energy attack appeared around him. “Kikoh!” Saint Dane said again, yelling it louder this time.

The ring shot off into the smoke that spewed from the fires Tehran’he had created, which had engulfed most of the battlefield in it’s choking embrace. Saint Dane’s attack made contact with Tehran’he’s, and the two began a struggle for supremacy.

---

It pleased the android to no end to see the two warriors were only concentrating their focus on eachother, and not on Nineteen. This gave him tons of oppurtunities; they could just oppose as a training target. Quickly and swiftly, he watched that he was, yet again, passed in terms of attacks, and then continued on to deliver series of assaults himself.

Firstly, he opened his giant palm, as a yellow sphere came out, racing towards the Saiyan Saint Dane. Quickly resuming on by drawing his sword out of its purple silk sheath, he flew at the female changeling Tehran'he, and slashed her powerfully from behind.

"AAAAHHH!" he yelled out, as his aura began to rise as he powered up to his maximum, a yellow glow mixed in his aura. Nineteen glanced at Saint Dane, now. He had another attack in mind, and it would only take seconds to perform, without his opponents having the chance to bring their guard up.

Rushing at the Saiyan once again with a quick fly, he slashed twice, diagonally in the shape of a cross. The android manipulated his ki and flew back a few inches, opening his mouth for yet another yellow sphere to head towards a target, this time targeted at Tehran'he.

Then, he turned around, to face the two warriors. "Well, boys. It's been a lot of fun, but time has come for me to disappear." he smiled, taking a breath and pausing. "Do not worry, though, I'll be back later!" he said, a broad glow shining around his body. When the light was dimmed just a bit, the pair could see that the Android attempted a flee. Nineteen blasted off of the ground, leaving the two to battle on their own, from now on. He could think back of the battle and now, could see this as a succes. After all, he had not taken one single hit. If the flee was succesful, that was just another story.

---

The changeling noticed that there was a sudden, heavy pressure on her Beam, somewhere along the line. Realizing Dane was obviously trying to overcome her Ki with his own, she contemplated the pros and cons of continuing the battle. Obviously, she was stronger, barely, at the moment, but his sheer force of will might overcome her.

Quickly muttering, “Zanzoken!” she allowed her Ki to bolster her speed to an incredible amount. Then, she increased her speed further, moving so fast that not only did she leave an afterimage, but it looked like that Tehran’he was still shooting off Ki for a moment or two, before Dane’s quickly overwhelmed the shadow being.

Tehran’he felt a sudden shadow loom near her. Just barely, she twisted her body, and her blade, charged a crystalline color, knocked away 19’s sword thrust, a move that should have killed her. Breathing heavily, she backed off, watching both fighters out of her peripherals. 19 backed off as well, though both knew that could just as easily be a ploy to lull her attentiveness. She didn’t fall for it, and that was to her credit.

Soon enough, he shot a golden beam off at him, which Tehran’he had her sword intercept, now glowing a faint reddish color. She watched him attack Dane once more, before leaving, having other duties to attend to, obviously. Tehran’he then turned to face her opponent and spoke directly to him for the first time since the fight started.

“I am not your rival. I am your superior. Never forget that. Also, if you really do have power that only the greatest of the great have, obviously, you didn’t feel the need to show it. This was hardly a challenge on my part.” Snottily, she stuck her tail high in the air, a symbol of superiority, and raised an eyebrow, expecting him to throw dozens of Ki attacks at her in response to such ‘blasphemy,’ as he would no doubt call it.

Fool.

---

“This changeling is hardly worth my time, so why do I waste it trying to show her the light? I could spend this time bettering myself, but instead I make futile attempts to make Tehran’he understand the potential she possesses. Maybe I’m just ignorant, but I’ll give her a little more time, and see how it works out,” Saint Dane thought to himself as he listened to the female’s words.

Already, though, she had surprised him with the way she handled his counter ki attack, as well as Android 19’s own attacks. He himself had been hit by the golden blast the machine fighter had sent his way, and he was definitely still feeling it.

Not only that, but the android had also managed to slash him across the chest with his sword, leaving a cross in his clothes and skin.

“Tehran’he, I am not going to try and justify what I have told you. Know this, though, I have not tried to educate you in this world for no reason. I can see what you can become. What you are deep inside. It is an animal that, when let off it’s leash, begins to tear everything apart. I almost envy you, but you are a pompous fool, too prideful to understand what you are seeing in front of you., or even try to,” Saint Dane called out to his “student”.

If he couldn’t convince her soon that she would reach levels far beyond anything within her grasp now if she just let him guide her along, then he would never be able to. He had proven that he was the better fighter time and time again, and had already pushed her to step up her training, resulting in her making much quicker progress than before. His part had been done, now it was up to her to put things together and see the light in his words.

“As much as I would like to stick around and prove to you my strength again, there are other matters that require my attention. Don’t worry, though, you’ll get another chance at me very soon. Until then, keep up your training and farewell, Tehran’he.”

Without another word the saiyan turned and blasted off into the air, leaving a visible indention in the ground. Nothing she said would be any different than what her last comment had been. No, she needed time to ponder his words before she would understand, but when that day came… the real test could begin.
